Obstacle 7:  “I don’t have a lot of money to order a bunch of CD’s.”

Solution:  You can delivery digitally. With affiliate programs, you can easily sell products without even having to have the product in your hand.  As nice as it sounds, you still need to have you own website; it is a requirement for many affiliate programs.

Having a website is ideal, but to really make money with affiliate programs, you need to have a website that receives a relatively high amount of traffic.  If you would like to increase the amount of traffic that your website sees, you should examine newsletters. They are a great way to increase website traffic.

Before examining how newsletters can help you increase your websites traffic, it is best that you first understand newsletters.  When it comes to understanding newsletters, there tends to be a little bit of confusion.  Newsletters come in a number of different shapes, sizes, and styles; they are all used for different purposes.

Newsletters are essentially emails that are sent to those who have requested to receive them.  Some use newsletters solely to update their customers and other uses them just as means of regular communication.  Despite a variation in purposes, one the most common uses of a newsletter is to
increase traffic.

One of the most common questions asked, concerning email newsletters is “why?”  A large number of individuals, namely affiliate program participants, wonder why they should even bother writing and then distributing a newsletter.

In all honesty, there are an unlimited number of reasons why you should
write and distribute newsletters to those who are interested in receiving them.  The number one reason is because you can do it as little or as often as you want.

Many webmasters only send out newsletters as often as their time allows them to do so.  It is also important to note that your newsletter content can be whatever you want it to be.  In fact, you may even want to think about tying in your affiliate program or the products that you are selling.

In conjunction with an affiliate program or an affiliate product tie in, you can not only use newsletters to increase your website traffic, but also to promote your affiliate products; products that you are responsible to help sell.

You can do this by writing a quick review or recommendation of the products or products that you are helping to sell.  If you haven’t tried the
product yourself, you may want to try and find other internet users who have.  Most of the time, you will find that many internet users are more than willing to write a quick review, just for the sake of helping others.

If you are an article writer or if you enjoy writing, you may want to write your own newsletters.  If you are not an article writer or if you are, but you just don’t have the time to produce you own newsletters, you don’t have to.

There are a number of alternatives for you to choose from.  One of the
easiest alternatives is to pay a professional to write your newsletter for you.  If you are looking for a free way to make a newsletter, you are urged to examine article directories.

Many article directories give out free usage rights for their articles. This means that you can easily find newsletter content, that you didn’t write, without having to spend a dime!

When using article directories, it is advised that you use articles that are, in one way or another, related to your website or the affiliate products that you are helping to sell.

As you can see, there are a number of reasons why you should at least think about writing and disturbing a newsletter.  In addition to those reasons, there are also an unlimited number of benefits to using newsletters to your advantage.

Whether you make the decision to write your own newsletters, hire a
professional, or use free content from article directories, you are urged to give newsletters a chance.  In the end, you might be surprised just how effective they are.

Get a website, create a product and send a newsletter.

When monetizing the sign up process, everything Starts with your capture page, the place where your prospect enters their name and email requesting your information.

The very next web page they see is the page asking your prospect to confirm their email address. The purpose of this page is to let your new prospect know that there is an email waiting for them at the address they just entered.

On this page, the please confirm page, you should reassure them that you want to protect them from spam and let them know who the email will be from and what your email address is.

Tell them what the process is to confirm their email, maybe something like “Simply click the link inside the email”.

This should never be just a simple page! You have the opportunity to offer this prospect something of value. Even if they do not confirm their email address.

Peel Away Ads are very popular, and easily added to any web page.Many websites that offer an affiliate program have peel away ads that you can easily add to your website.

You don’t need to do anything except add the provided javascript to your web page. Typically, this small piece of code goes before your closing tag. This can easily be added using any text editor, like notepad.

You don’t need to worry about hosting any special pages for this, as the site who supplies the java code hosts the special pages.

Bonus Boxes are also very popular and easily added to any webpage. These special boxes are also offered by many sites with affiliate programs. They also can be created quite easily.

For example, a box can be easily created using images from a website and an existing bonus box. A few simple modifications, and it’s done. Some boxes are simply an image file with a hyperlink attached. These specially designed boxes are hosted by the affiliate website.

These typically can not be changed, as it is only an image file. Professionally designed for better conversions, you really can’t go wrong with these simple advertisements.

Including multiple bonus boxes on any one page is the best way to get your offers seen. All of these offers I’ve talked about so far have been shown to your prospect and they HAVE NOT even confirmed their email address yet.

Including a peel away ad and bonus boxes on your “Please Confirm” page is the easiest way to turn prospects into buyers - even before they become a subscriber.

Your prospect checks their email to confirm their subscription. This email is very simple and straight to the point. It tells them to click the link to confirm their email address. This email should have out going links to affiliate products or programs where you can earn commissions.

With this email, you still have the chance to offer something of value and the possibility of earning commissions even if the prospect decides NOT to confirm their subscription.

I have offered links to my blog, another email list  where they can receive an ecourse about residual income and my recommendations on reading material.

The thank you page is where I promptly show them a One Time Offer. When offering your subscriber a one time offer, make sure it is related to what they initially signed up for.

Not only does this page have an OTO, it has a peel away ad and more bonus boxes. You can offer them some Master Resale Rights or Private Label Rights products, or even your own products.

Start with a catchy headline followed by the product’s image and a short description. End with a nice call to action and your purchase link. Be sure to remind them of the importance of this offer and add a P.S. Always include outgoing links to “free to join” programs or special offers.

Any page that you can add these peel away ads or bonus boxes should have them. Try to arrange them so they won’t see the same offer twice, unless you are trying to make a point that it is a good offer.

From your OTO page, you MUST supply a link to the download page if your subscriber decides not to take the OTO. However, if they do take the OTO, be sure the return link from the purchase goes to the upgraded product you offered.

The download page should give steps to follow. When your subscriber arrives at the download page, either by the link on the OTO page, or by “return to merchant” after purchase… give them steps to take.

By giving steps to follow, you can direct your subscriber to your “special” offers. Your download page can have more offers. Always add more peel away ads and bonus boxes to your download page.

You can make your upgraded download page the same as your normal download page because the subscriber will only see one of these pages. Either they take the OTO and see the upgraded download page or they don’t. Simply change the link to the product as it applies.

This is how you can take content from your product and
distribute it to different sites, in different formats.

Initially, this was supposed to be about an article about your product
that gets distributed in different formats.

I created my article from the powerpoint presentation. This
presentation was some screen capture images and some descriptions
that I wrote as I created the presentation. The camtasia add-in for
powerpoint makes it real easy to create a video from your presentation.

So here’s what I did…

I created an ebook and the web pages that go into making the system;
squeeze/capture page, confirm page, thank you page and download
page. This system has an OTO, so I created a page for that too.

I set up my autoresponder to work with these pages and verified that
the system worked correctly… this is important!

I took screen capture images of all the pages and emails to create my
powerpoint presentation, explaining the process. Conveniently, my
ebook is about the signup process.

The descriptions in the presentation became my article content. The
presentation became my video, as well as a pdf. Also from this content,
I created a press release.

So now I have…
1) Powerpoint Presentation
2) Article
3) Press Release
4) Video
5) PDF

I submitted the powerpoint to sites like:

http://www.slideboom.com/
http://www.authorstream.com/
http://www.myplick.com/

I submitted the PDF to sites like:
http://www.scribd.com/
http://www.docstoc.com/
http://issuu.com

I submitted the video to sites like:
http://video.yahoo.com/

http://youtube.com/
http://video.msn.com

And I submitted the article and press release to the top submission sites.

You can see how just a little bit of content can be “recreated” into many
different mediums and distributed around the internet.

If you haven’t been a JV contributor in a giveaway event, you really need to try to take advantage of the opportunity. You can greatly increase your subscriber base with very little effort.

What I did for the Greedy Giveaway was create my own product. This JV event required you to supply your OWN product, not some  MMR product. This is to increase the value of the event and offer only quality products.

Ok… so my personal stats for this event are as follows:

Signup conversion rate - 56.52%
My product’s OTO conversion rate - 7.69%

These statistics are very, very good - especially for not really doing anything except upload my product and do some promotion to bring in new members.

It would probably be in your best interest to create your own product, look for new giveaway events and increase your subscriber base.

There’s many ways to use your already created content, but many
people might not know the steps to take to get the results you
want.

Ok, I did it!

Product creation. You saw my post about Sunny’s awesome weekend product creation. And after reading Marlon’s inspirational, to say the least, newsletters about getting your butt in gear and just doing it… I did it! And you can too!

I didn’t create the sales letter, I didn’t do alot of research… I just did it.

My plan was to setup my LFM site, but decided this product would be best used as a free giveaway.
