Educating Through Video

June 15, 2009 By: admin Category: Internet Marketing, Residual Income

People from third-world or developing countries who want to get updated or advanced education from industrialized nations are having a hard time, mostly because of immigration or visa requirements.

This is much is true in countries like Japan, the United States and the United Kingdom, whose immigration qualifications are very stringent. In some countries, the United States requires that a certain amount be placed in trust as a bond to ensure that visitors do return to their countries of origin.

Educators in these developed countries recognize the desire of foreign students to avail themselves of superior standards in education. This is where the internet becomes a central tool in global, quality education.

If you go online today, you will find plenty of colleges, universities and even Ivy League institutions offering online education ranging from certification, degree, post graduate and doctorate level courses. These online schools and universities are certainly convenient for those who cannot enter developed countries due to lack of qualifications for visa approval requirements.

In the domestic front, these online schools become an alternative to the physically handicapped or mentally ill. For people with motor dysfunctions such as Parkinson’s disease, online education becomes a saving grace in their lives. It not only becomes convenient, but it also provides these people with a connection to the world right in their own homes.

Having the burden of education addressed by the internet is a convenience for the operators of care facilities as they can exclusively use these online schools for the education of their patients or as extra sources and materials used in their curriculum.

With all of these in mind, new materials and tools for online instruction need to be developed. Foremost among these necessary tools is audio and video streaming through the internet. Audio-video streaming allows for two people to instantly communicate from distinctly separate locations. An instructor can use the internet to talk to his or her student face to face, so to speak.

One thing our educators agree upon is that there is no better teacher than experience. In recent years, companies started manufacturing educational videos for use by infants. By using these video, infants are projected to start learning at an earlier age than before.

Because of the audio-video experience, the attention given to these videos by an infant is considerably more than they would give to a children’s book. In being able to grab attention and interest, the video succeeds in educating the mind of the child.

In the same manner, the use of audio and video in the education of older children, juveniles and adults is a more interesting and entertaining experience than a plain chemistry book. With a person actually able to see the animated structure of an atom, the curiosity of that individual is stimulated. When people become curious, their imagination becomes active and they strive to gather more information about the subject.

This is where the importance of education through video lies. The content (assuming that it is interesting) grabs the viewers’ attention and stirs their curiosity, thereby stimulating a thirst for knowledge.

As internet audio-video streaming technology improves, the more use they will become to online educational institutions. People who have knowledge of how to install and use these utilities are quickly becoming assets to many entrepreneurs, especially those businesses that are situated in the internet.

The use of video streaming technology by websites has ballooned significantly. Even websites designed by amateurs and those people who have their own blog sites are starting to sprout videos. Video streaming is starting to grow. You might want to grow with it.

Traffic Methods for Affiliates

June 12, 2009 By: admin Category: Internet Marketing

Affiliate program participants rely on sales to make money with affiliate programs. The only thing is that many new participants forget that they also need to rely on website traffic.

After all, without traffic, no one will be able to see your affiliate products, let alone buy them. That is why, if you are in an affiliate program, you need to work on increasing your traffic. There are a number of steps that you can take to increase your traffic, three of these steps are outlined below.

1. SEO
If you are an established webmaster, you likely already know what SEO is. If not, you need to familiarize yourself with it right away. SEO, which is also known as search engine optimization, may have an important impact on the success of your website, even its failure.

The goal of search engine optimization (SEO) is to increase your search engine ranking. Having a high search engine ranking increases your chances of seeing traffic from search engines. Search engine optimization encompasses a number of different methods, but one of the most important is content.

You need to have content on your website; it is what search engines pickup. You will also want to use keyword tracking tools; they enable you to determine what keyword phrases internet users are searching with. Using those keyword phrases on your website is sure to increase your website traffic.

2. Article Distribution
Have you heard of article directories before? Article directories are websites that act as hosts for collections of articles. They often contain a large collection of articles, sometimes even millions of articles. In exchange for providing your content free of charge, article directories will allow you to insert a link at the end of your article.

This link should direct readers to your online website, namely the page that outlines the affiliate products that you are selling. Not only will it help to increase your website traffic, but your sales may also increase.

When it comes to submitting to article directories, which is often referred to as articles distribution, you are advised to create yourself a schedule. To effectively use article distribution, you need to submit multiple articles.

In fact, the more articles the better. You should create a goal for yourself, like submitting at least five articles a month. It is also important that you create content that is relevant to your website. If it is not, your readers might not click on your clink; thus defeating the purpose of submitting to article directories.

3. Blogging
Over the past few years, the popularity of blogging has skyrocketed. In addition to personal blogs, a large number of online businesses are now relying on blogs to help increase their website traffic and you can too. Blogs are nice because you are given choices. You can create your own, free blog or you can pay to have your blog hosted on your own domain name.

When creating a blog, you can create your own content, which may include product reviews or recommendations. In fact, you don’t even have to write your own content. You can use content from many free article directories; many will give you free usage rights. Speaking of article directories, if you submitted your own articles, you can even use them for your blog. The only thing you need to remember is to link back to your original webpage. Doing so in each blog post will help to increase your traffic.

The above mentioned three traffic increasing steps are just a few of the many that you can take. These three; however, are a few of the easiest ways that you can go about increasing your website traffic. With a small amount of effort, you can easily see an increase in traffic, in what seems like no time at all. In fact, you will not only see an increase in traffic, but you may also see an increase in your affiliate sales.

Affiliate Traffic Tricks

June 09, 2009 By: admin Category: Internet Marketing, Residual Income

With affiliate programs, you can easily sell products without even having to have the product in your hand.  As nice as it sounds, you still need to have you own website; it is a requirement for many affiliate programs.

Having a website is ideal, but to really make money with affiliate programs, you need to have a website that receives a relatively high amount of traffic.  If you would like to increase the amount of traffic that your website sees, you should examine newsletters. They are a great way to increase website traffic.

Before examining how newsletters can help you increase your websites traffic, it is best that you first understand newsletters.  When it comes to understanding newsletters, there tends to be a little bit of confusion.  Newsletters come in a number of different shapes, sizes, and styles; they are all used for different purposes.

Newsletters are essentially emails that are sent to those who have requested to receive them.  Some use newsletters solely to update their customers and other uses them just as means of regular communication.  Despite a variation in purposes, one the most common uses of a newsletter is to
increase traffic.

One of the most common questions asked, concerning email newsletters is “why?”  A large number of individuals, namely affiliate program participants, wonder why they should even bother writing and then distributing a newsletter.

In all honesty, there are an unlimited number of reasons why you should
write and distribute newsletters to those who are interested in receiving them.  The number one reason is because you can do it as little or as often as you want.

Many webmasters only send out newsletters as often as their time allows them to do so.  It is also important to note that your newsletter content can be whatever you want it to be.  In fact, you may even want to think about tying in your affiliate program or the products that you are selling.

In conjunction with an affiliate program or an affiliate product tie in, you can not only use newsletters to increase your website traffic, but also to promote your affiliate products; products that you are responsible to help sell.

You can do this by writing a quick review or recommendation of the products or products that you are helping to sell.  If you haven’t tried the
product yourself, you may want to try and find other internet users who have.  Most of the time, you will find that many internet users are more than willing to write a quick review, just for the sake of helping others.

If you are an article writer or if you enjoy writing, you may want to write your own newsletters.  If you are not an article writer or if you are, but you just don’t have the time to produce you own newsletters, you don’t have to.

There are a number of alternatives for you to choose from.  One of the
easiest alternatives is to pay a professional to write your newsletter for you.  If you are looking for a free way to make a newsletter, you are urged to examine article directories.

Many article directories give out free usage rights for their articles. This means that you can easily find newsletter content, that you didn’t write, without having to spend a dime!

When using article directories, it is advised that you use articles that are, in one way or another, related to your website or the affiliate products that you are helping to sell.

As you can see, there are a number of reasons why you should at least think about writing and disturbing a newsletter.  In addition to those reasons, there are also an unlimited number of benefits to using newsletters to your advantage.

Whether you make the decision to write your own newsletters, hire a
professional, or use free content from article directories, you are urged to give newsletters a chance.  In the end, you might be surprised just how effective they are.

Fast Search Engine Rankings

June 08, 2009 By: admin Category: Internet Marketing, Uncategorized

Blog = Fast SE Rankings

If you run a site and are looking to get it listed quickly on search engines, there really is no easier and quicker way than to also put a blog on the site. It is a known fact that search engine spiders from sites like Google and Altavista list new blogs much faster than they list new sites.

However, it’s not as simple as just creating a blog and letting it sit there. You
have to also use tactics like pinging, linking and the use of keywords. We’ll go over each so that you are able to effectively use your blog for a quick site listing. We’ll also briefly go over how to host your own blog on your site.

So how do I host my own blog, anyway?

The easiest way to do this is to install and run a blogging software from another company on your web site’s server. One such software that is popular is WordPress. It’s fairly easy to install and works pretty good on your site. Other blogging software options include:
Apache Roller
Blosxom
Geeklog
Textpattern
LifeType

Whatever one you choose, be sure to follow the instructions provided by the company so that the installation goes smoothly.

Where should I put my blog on my site?

Most people who host their blog to help their site get listed quickly don’t put the blog on the main page of the site, because the site isn’t all about the blog. Instead they put it in its own folder at mysite.com/blog/. But you can really put your blog anywhere on your site, so it’s your call.

What is pinging?

It’s a question that many ask, so don’t feel silly if you don’t know what pinging is. Pinging is essentially a tracking program installed on your blog that will notify the site which it is from whenever your blog is updated.

Search engine spiders usually visit newly pinged sites most often, which is why pinging is such a crucial part of the equation to get your site listed quickly. Sites that are newly “pinged” will be visited by search engine spiders. A visit from the spider equals a listing on the search engine.

How do I get pinging on my blog?

You’ll have to register with a site that offers weblog pinging. The most popular pinging program around is weblogs.com. Other programs offered include Yahoo’s Blo.gs, BlogRolling, and Technorati.

Once you’ve decided on a pinging service, you’ll have to follow the instructions to install it on your blog. When you’ve done that, your blog will start getting pinged and visited by search engine spiders.

What is linking?

Linking is basically having another blog or site link to your blog. When search engine spiders visit that site and see a link to your site, they’ll visit your site. Linking is effective both for sites with blogs and those without it.

How do I get linking?

You get it by visiting sites/blogs that are relevant to what your site is about. Then you contact the owners of those sites/blogs, asking them to post a link to your site on their site. In return, you will probably have to link to their site on your site. That way, both of you are able to benefit from the
linking.

Why is the use of keywords important to my blog?

Spiders love to visit sites with a good amount of keywords. People who read your site won’t mind the use of keywords if they are lightly spread throughout the content of your pages. The key to this is to make a list of keywords relevant to your blog posting and then to try to use those keywords throughout your content.

It is important to make sure, however, not to overuse keywords. Spiders have been trained to ignore sites with excessive amounts of keywords, so if you use a whole lot of keywords in the hopes of getting spiders to visit your site, it’s not going to do you any good.

Generally speaking, using between 2-6 keywords per 200 word piece of content is a good ratio. It’s pleasing to both readers and search engine spiders.

That’s really all there is to it. Apply the above techniques to your blog and you will net your site a quick search engine listing.

There is no quicker way to get your site listed than to use a blog. So install a blog on your site today and you’ll be listed sooner than you could have imagined!

Product Content Distribution

May 08, 2009 By: admin Category: Internet Marketing, Residual Income

This is how you can take content from your product and
distribute it to different sites, in different formats.

Initially, this was supposed to be about an article about your product
that gets distributed in different formats.

I created my article from the powerpoint presentation. This
presentation was some screen capture images and some descriptions
that I wrote as I created the presentation. The camtasia add-in for
powerpoint makes it real easy to create a video from your presentation.

So here’s what I did…

I created an ebook and the web pages that go into making the system;
squeeze/capture page, confirm page, thank you page and download
page. This system has an OTO, so I created a page for that too.

I set up my autoresponder to work with these pages and verified that
the system worked correctly… this is important!

I took screen capture images of all the pages and emails to create my
powerpoint presentation, explaining the process. Conveniently, my
ebook is about the signup process.

The descriptions in the presentation became my article content. The
presentation became my video, as well as a pdf. Also from this content,
I created a press release.

So now I have…
1) Powerpoint Presentation
2) Article
3) Press Release
4) Video
5) PDF

I submitted the powerpoint to sites like:
http://www.slideshare.net/
http://www.slideboom.com/
http://www.authorstream.com/
http://www.myplick.com/

I submitted the PDF to sites like:
http://www.scribd.com/
http://www.docstoc.com/
http://issuu.com

I submitted the video to sites like:
http://video.yahoo.com/
http://veoh.com/
http://youtube.com/
http://video.msn.com

And I submitted the article and press release to the top submission sites.

You can see how just a little bit of content can be “recreated” into many
different mediums and distributed around the internet.
