Stop Trading Time

June 10, 2009 By: admin Category: Internet Marketing, Marlon Sanders, Residual Income

Stop Trading Time …

Stop Trading Time for Dollars and Start Trading Products

The Info Product Dashboard
Here’s the concept.  It’s very simple:

1.  You either trade time for dollars, or products for dollars

2.  Marlon walks you through a simple, doable, step-by-step process for creating your own info product in about 20-30 minutes per day, 6 days a week over a 6 week period.

3.  How do you eat an elephant?  One bite at a time. That’s  what the Info Product Dashboard does. It breaks it down into one bite at a time.

Now, it isn’t all fun and games.  There ARE legitimate obstacles you have to overcome.

KEY OBSTACLES:

Obstacle 1: I want to create my own info product but I’m NOT an expert at anything.

Solution:  Marlon shows you step-by-step how to use the knowledge of OTHER experts to create your first info product.

Obstacle 2:  I don’t have money to pay experts

Solution:  Marlon shows you a secret source to get experts to create his products with him — at ZERO cost. Zero!

In some cases, you may pay experts a relatively modest sum.  But he’s going to show you a killer way to get experts to co-create info products with you and they won’t charge you a dime!

Obstacle 3:  Creating an info product is hard work and takes forever.

Solution:  If you have 20-30 minutes a day, just follow Marlon’s step-by-step instructions, screen caps and videos.

Obstacle 4:  I’m a newbie and don’t know what topic to produce a product on.

Solution:  In the Info Product Dashboard, Marlon’ll give you a few very simple things you can do to find a good topic.  You don’t need a million things to do.  He boils it down and gives you just a few that work.

Obstacle 5:  I don’t have money for recording equipment, software and all that jazz.

Solution:  Marlon’s eliminated virtually every expense possible.  Most
everything can be done without money.  He gives the free resources and then, if appropriate, a paid resource, if the paid one is what he personally uses.  That way, if you don’t have money, you can use the free one. If you DO have money, you can use what he personally uses in his own business.

Obstacle 6:  Where will I find these experts?  I don’t know where to find them.

Solution:  Marlon shows you his secret resources and places they hang out at.  Of course, you may have friends, family, acquaintances or others who will allow you to borrow their knowledge.

Obstacle 7:  “I don’t have a lot of money to order a bunch of CD’s.”

Solution:  You can delivery digitally. Marlon shows you how, gives you templates, the whole ball of wax.  But if you WANNA do a CD, he gives a place that will do a quantity as low as ONE at a great price, AND ship the CD for you.  There are no barriers here to people who own the Info Product Dashboard.

Obstacle 8:  I don’t know how to do video and I can’t afford Camtasia.

Solution:  Marlon shows you how to create video to supplement your products with using a free software program.  Video is a very nice addition to a product.  And he makes it easy and cheap for you.

Obstacle 9:  I can’t afford Sound Forge to edit AUDIO with.  How do I create audio?

Solution:  Marlon shows you how to do it easy with a free program.

Obstacle 10:  “I hate reading a bunch of long, drawn out stuff.”

Solution:  Marlon shows what to do and HOW to do it without any filler or fluff. This is an ACTION system.

But he also shows you secret places to find people most don’t know about. Including ONE that gets a WHOPPING 30% success rate when the right email is sent.  The exact word-for-word email is one of the fast action bonuses he offers.  Oh, he gives you the SOURCE of these experts also.

You have a decision in life.

Do you want to trade your TIME for dollars?

Or do you want to trade PRODUCTS for dollars?

Affiliate Traffic Tricks

June 09, 2009 By: admin Category: Internet Marketing, Residual Income

With affiliate programs, you can easily sell products without even having to have the product in your hand.  As nice as it sounds, you still need to have you own website; it is a requirement for many affiliate programs.

Having a website is ideal, but to really make money with affiliate programs, you need to have a website that receives a relatively high amount of traffic.  If you would like to increase the amount of traffic that your website sees, you should examine newsletters. They are a great way to increase website traffic.

Before examining how newsletters can help you increase your websites traffic, it is best that you first understand newsletters.  When it comes to understanding newsletters, there tends to be a little bit of confusion.  Newsletters come in a number of different shapes, sizes, and styles; they are all used for different purposes.

Newsletters are essentially emails that are sent to those who have requested to receive them.  Some use newsletters solely to update their customers and other uses them just as means of regular communication.  Despite a variation in purposes, one the most common uses of a newsletter is to
increase traffic.

One of the most common questions asked, concerning email newsletters is “why?”  A large number of individuals, namely affiliate program participants, wonder why they should even bother writing and then distributing a newsletter.

In all honesty, there are an unlimited number of reasons why you should
write and distribute newsletters to those who are interested in receiving them.  The number one reason is because you can do it as little or as often as you want.

Many webmasters only send out newsletters as often as their time allows them to do so.  It is also important to note that your newsletter content can be whatever you want it to be.  In fact, you may even want to think about tying in your affiliate program or the products that you are selling.

In conjunction with an affiliate program or an affiliate product tie in, you can not only use newsletters to increase your website traffic, but also to promote your affiliate products; products that you are responsible to help sell.

You can do this by writing a quick review or recommendation of the products or products that you are helping to sell.  If you haven’t tried the
product yourself, you may want to try and find other internet users who have.  Most of the time, you will find that many internet users are more than willing to write a quick review, just for the sake of helping others.

If you are an article writer or if you enjoy writing, you may want to write your own newsletters.  If you are not an article writer or if you are, but you just don’t have the time to produce you own newsletters, you don’t have to.

There are a number of alternatives for you to choose from.  One of the
easiest alternatives is to pay a professional to write your newsletter for you.  If you are looking for a free way to make a newsletter, you are urged to examine article directories.

Many article directories give out free usage rights for their articles. This means that you can easily find newsletter content, that you didn’t write, without having to spend a dime!

When using article directories, it is advised that you use articles that are, in one way or another, related to your website or the affiliate products that you are helping to sell.

As you can see, there are a number of reasons why you should at least think about writing and disturbing a newsletter.  In addition to those reasons, there are also an unlimited number of benefits to using newsletters to your advantage.

Whether you make the decision to write your own newsletters, hire a
professional, or use free content from article directories, you are urged to give newsletters a chance.  In the end, you might be surprised just how effective they are.

Fast Search Engine Rankings

Blog = Fast SE Rankings

If you run a site and are looking to get it listed quickly on search engines, there really is no easier and quicker way than to also put a blog on the site. It is a known fact that search engine spiders from sites like Google and Altavista list new blogs much faster than they list new sites.

However, it’s not as simple as just creating a blog and letting it sit there. You
have to also use tactics like pinging, linking and the use of keywords. We’ll go over each so that you are able to effectively use your blog for a quick site listing. We’ll also briefly go over how to host your own blog on your site.

So how do I host my own blog, anyway?

The easiest way to do this is to install and run a blogging software from another company on your web site’s server. One such software that is popular is WordPress. It’s fairly easy to install and works pretty good on your site. Other blogging software options include:
Apache Roller
Blosxom
Geeklog
Textpattern
LifeType

Whatever one you choose, be sure to follow the instructions provided by the company so that the installation goes smoothly.

Where should I put my blog on my site?

Most people who host their blog to help their site get listed quickly don’t put the blog on the main page of the site, because the site isn’t all about the blog. Instead they put it in its own folder at mysite.com/blog/. But you can really put your blog anywhere on your site, so it’s your call.

What is pinging?

It’s a question that many ask, so don’t feel silly if you don’t know what pinging is. Pinging is essentially a tracking program installed on your blog that will notify the site which it is from whenever your blog is updated.

Search engine spiders usually visit newly pinged sites most often, which is why pinging is such a crucial part of the equation to get your site listed quickly. Sites that are newly “pinged” will be visited by search engine spiders. A visit from the spider equals a listing on the search engine.

How do I get pinging on my blog?

You’ll have to register with a site that offers weblog pinging. The most popular pinging program around is weblogs.com. Other programs offered include Yahoo’s Blo.gs, BlogRolling, and Technorati.

Once you’ve decided on a pinging service, you’ll have to follow the instructions to install it on your blog. When you’ve done that, your blog will start getting pinged and visited by search engine spiders.

What is linking?

Linking is basically having another blog or site link to your blog. When search engine spiders visit that site and see a link to your site, they’ll visit your site. Linking is effective both for sites with blogs and those without it.

How do I get linking?

You get it by visiting sites/blogs that are relevant to what your site is about. Then you contact the owners of those sites/blogs, asking them to post a link to your site on their site. In return, you will probably have to link to their site on your site. That way, both of you are able to benefit from the
linking.

Why is the use of keywords important to my blog?

Spiders love to visit sites with a good amount of keywords. People who read your site won’t mind the use of keywords if they are lightly spread throughout the content of your pages. The key to this is to make a list of keywords relevant to your blog posting and then to try to use those keywords throughout your content.

It is important to make sure, however, not to overuse keywords. Spiders have been trained to ignore sites with excessive amounts of keywords, so if you use a whole lot of keywords in the hopes of getting spiders to visit your site, it’s not going to do you any good.

Generally speaking, using between 2-6 keywords per 200 word piece of content is a good ratio. It’s pleasing to both readers and search engine spiders.

That’s really all there is to it. Apply the above techniques to your blog and you will net your site a quick search engine listing.

There is no quicker way to get your site listed than to use a blog. So install a blog on your site today and you’ll be listed sooner than you could have imagined!

Keyword Density

June 08, 2009 By: admin Category: Internet Marketing

Having enough keyword density on your web site is an extremely important thing that can make or break how well your web site does in search engines. Having too little or too many keywords can severely hurt your site.

So what exactly is the perfect amount of keyword density? And what exactly IS keyword density? Well, we will go into good detail about the basics of keyword density. After you have read this, you will be able to effectively apply keywords to your web site.

So what is keyword density anyway?

Put simply, keyword density is the ratio of keywords or key phrases to the total number of words on a particular page of your site. A good rule of thumb is to have a keyword density of 1-3%. Some may be thinking, “how do you get the keyword density percentage?” The mathematical formula is quite simple: you divide the total number of keywords or keyword phrases in your content by the total number of words.

So if you have 10 keywords in a document with 1000 total words, that’s a keyword density of exactly 1%, which is the lowest keyword density your page should have for search engine purposes—anything less and chances are, your site won’t be listed high in a search engine.

To achieve the ideal keyword density of 3%, you would have to have 30 keywords or keyword phrases in a site with 1000 words. Generally speaking, you don’t want to have more than 3% keyword density, as the keywords tend to get repetitive in that case and actually hinder your site. But you also don’t want to have less than 1%, as your site won’t be noticed as quickly or as
effectively by search engines.

How do I make keywords flow naturally throughout my page?

It’s all about coming up with good keywords that relate to your site and can be used naturally throughout a page without sounding silly or repetitive. Before you even think about writing the content for a page, sit down first to decide on keywords or key phrases to use in the page. Then begin to write
the content, and when you see fit, place in a keyword or key phrase.

It is a good idea to take a break after writing a paragraph or two to review the work. When you are looking at what has been written, make sure it makes sense to you and that the use of keywords doesn’t distract you from what the page is actually about. Readers will not enjoy a site that is chock full of keywords that do nothing but distract them from the article or
piece of content.

A lot of people recommend placing a keyword in the first and last sentence of every paragraph. While this may be effective for some, it often does no good for others and hurts their content.

Try not to be too strict with where you place the keywords—only use them when they seem to “fit” into a sentence. Then, when you’re done, count them up. If you’ve managed to place around 10 keywords naturally into your content, then you’re good to go.

Keyword and word counting seems daunting….are there any tools I
can use to make the process quicker?

The short answer is yes, there are quite a few wonderful tools
which make counting keywords and total words much easier than it
sounds. We will briefly go over a few here.

Choosing Keywords

June 07, 2009 By: admin Category: Internet Marketing

These days, our needs for knowledge, information, everyday necessities and novelty materials can be found just with one single click on an internet website.

It’s no surprise that people prefer to surf the WWW rather than go to a library or shopping center to look for or buy what they want. More and more people use search engines like google to help them go directly to the website that contains what they need.

This trend sparked a revolution in internet marketing
strategies. Web masters of vendor sites compete with each other to place their websites in the top 10 search results of a user’s searches.

Various software utilities were created to boost the
chances of high SE rankings. Some of these utilities even
manage to cheat a high ranking out of a search engine even when the website itself contains nothing of interest to the user.

As more and more web masters arm themselves with rank boosting software, the effectiveness of their efforts begins to plummet so much so that they find themselves back to where they started. A new avenue for increasing their rankings became necessary.

One of these ideas is the saturation of keywords on a single article. The entire philosophy of keywords hinged on their relevance.

In searching for a Ford truck, what search strings
would the customer use? How many of those search strings will match the keywords? The more a search string matches your site or article’s keywords, the higher you place on a search engine result page.

Keywords have gotten to be such a major concern
that private enterprises which offer search engine optimization (SEO) services are now making a killing in the internet economy.

The first result that comes out of a search engine is usually the website that contains the most similar number of keywords in the exact same order as the search.

For instance, if I used “DIY Wi-Fi antenna” for my search string, the search engine will look for the exact same words and word placement. Now, if I type the word “ask” and perform my search using google, the common result
would be ask.com.

Notice how the search engine immediately went
for the website with the domain name (ask.com) that matched my query. On the other hand, if I type “asked”, google still comes out with the ask.com webpage as its top search result. It’s all about relevance.

To be able to fully utilize your website’s potential as a top
search result item, you need to orient your website towards the product or idea you want to promote. If you cannot have the .com name, you can rely on keyword optimization to help you with your search engine rankings.

You do not need to consult a private enterprise to tell you
which keywords to use. All you have to do is think about your product or idea and think of how you would look for it in the internet using a search engine.

Keywords will not work for you if you keep them generic. Most customers log onto the internet already knowing what they need or want. Remember, these shoppers can’t hold or examine the merchandise so they want to find out about them first hand before they actually buy.

When they do decide to buy, they have a specific idea in mind. They will use this idea as their search string in search engines. If you have multiple products, you need to be able to generate a fair amount of literature containing relevant keywords for each of your merchandise.

If you choose to limit your business to a certain area, be sure to include the name of your chosen location into your keyword base.

You also need to take care of the literature or articles
you produce for your business. Make sure that they contain the necessary keyword count. Do not sacrifice the quality of your articles for the sake of keywords. Always present a detailed, literate and informative article.

Product Content Distribution

May 08, 2009 By: admin Category: Internet Marketing, Residual Income

This is how you can take content from your product and
distribute it to different sites, in different formats.

Initially, this was supposed to be about an article about your product
that gets distributed in different formats.

I created my article from the powerpoint presentation. This
presentation was some screen capture images and some descriptions
that I wrote as I created the presentation. The camtasia add-in for
powerpoint makes it real easy to create a video from your presentation.

So here’s what I did…

I created an ebook and the web pages that go into making the system;
squeeze/capture page, confirm page, thank you page and download
page. This system has an OTO, so I created a page for that too.

I set up my autoresponder to work with these pages and verified that
the system worked correctly… this is important!

I took screen capture images of all the pages and emails to create my
powerpoint presentation, explaining the process. Conveniently, my
ebook is about the signup process.

The descriptions in the presentation became my article content. The
presentation became my video, as well as a pdf. Also from this content,
I created a press release.

So now I have…
1) Powerpoint Presentation
2) Article
3) Press Release
4) Video
5) PDF

I submitted the powerpoint to sites like:
http://www.slideshare.net/
http://www.slideboom.com/
http://www.authorstream.com/
http://www.myplick.com/

I submitted the PDF to sites like:
http://www.scribd.com/
http://www.docstoc.com/
http://issuu.com

I submitted the video to sites like:
http://video.yahoo.com/
http://veoh.com/
http://youtube.com/
http://video.msn.com

And I submitted the article and press release to the top submission sites.

You can see how just a little bit of content can be “recreated” into many
different mediums and distributed around the internet.

Greedy Giveaway Conversions

May 02, 2009 By: admin Category: Internet Marketing, Residual Income

If you haven’t been a JV contributor in a giveaway event, you really need to try to take advantage of the opportunity. You can greatly increase your subscriber base with very little effort.

What I did for the Greedy Giveaway was create my own product. This JV event required you to supply your OWN product, not some  MMR product. This is to increase the value of the event and offer only quality products.

Ok… so my personal stats for this event are as follows:

Signup conversion rate - 56.52%
My product’s OTO conversion rate - 7.69%

These statistics are very, very good - especially for not really doing anything except upload my product and do some promotion to bring in new members.

It would probably be in your best interest to create your own product, look for new giveaway events and increase your subscriber base.

Traffic Exchanges: Who has the best Credit Deals?

May 01, 2009 By: admin Category: Internet Marketing, Traffic Exchanges

Typically, credit deals go on for only a short time -however these deals will be going on for some time. Also watch for specials when credit deals will be doubled.

Topping out at #1, and for good reason, is my buddy Jon Olson’s exchange… I Love Hits. He’s know around town as ‘the TE guy’ or maybe even the ‘Pizza Man’. I Love Hits is a great traffic exchange and you can get great results there, especially with these great credit deals…

I Love Hits
April Traffic Showers
|  $0.004/hit
10,000 credits for $37

The Ultimate Ad | $0.006/hit
5,600 credits, 50,000 banner & text ads for $35

Double credits are available during ‘HENry Hour’ - usually this is Friday

Coming in at #2, Hitsafari is a traffic exchange that usually stays in my personal top 5 best converting TE’s. Paula Zuehlke does a great job with this exchange and offers generous surfing bonuses. - You can win 500 credits with 1 click!

Hitsafari
Hitsafari Special Deal | $0.006/hit
5,000 credits for $30

I’ve only found the powersurf a few times here, it might not be advertised!

Coming in at #3 is Paul Kinder’s Traffic Splash. This exchange ALWAYS converts really well for me and stays in my top 3 best performing TE’s.  The surf rewards are great here; surf 100 pages and get 1,000 text or 500 banner ads; surf 250 pages and get 4,000 text or 2,000 banner impressions - all you have to do is send in a support ticket to claim your impressions. Look at the ‘Surf Reward’ tab when you log in for more details.

Traffic Splash
Brand New Special | $0.007/hit
3,000 credits for $19.99
bonus: 7,000 text ads free

So, as you can see, getting targeted traffic to your site is both cheap and easy when you take advantage of these credit deals. At just around 1/2 cent per page view, you pretty much can’t NOT take advantage of these deals.

Remember… to get the best results, advertise a squeeze page/ capture page to add visitors to your list. Throw in an OTO in the signup process and offer something of value - keep you subscribers happy!  Hope this helps.

Additional note: Using text and banner impressions for ‘personal branding’ is a great way to get yourself noticed.

Traffic Exchanges: Do they Work?

May 01, 2009 By: admin Category: Internet Marketing, Traffic Exchanges

Well, I think this topic is up for debate by many people.
For some reason, which I’ve still to discover, believe that
they DON’T work.

I can say, honestly, they work just fine!

Well, that is if you know what you’re doing :)

If you’re busy doing other things, like product creation or
developing or enhancing your website(s)… or going to your
“job” grrrr   You might not have time to surf for credits, so
just buy them.

Traffic Exchange traffic is SO cheap it’s crazy, look for the
credit deals and buy credits so you don’t have to surf!

I personally like to surf, of course not every day, but some
days yes… everyday. I look at it as a way to see what your
ad competitors are doing.

Sadly, most are not getting it right. Either they advertise a
product or service that doesn’t belong in a TE or they promote
generic affiliate pages - just like everyone else. And then they
wonder why they don’t get any results.

Over they last month, I have added over 120 new subscribers
to my list with ONLY traffic exchange advertising!

You might be asking “How did you do that?”

Easily… create a  product or service of your own, something
that TE surfers are interested in or that they need to help
them in some way or another.

Some people might think, ‘well, I’ll just promote my health
product or energy drink - TE surfers need these things’ Wrong!
You might think they do… but they don’t.

People are surfing the TE’s to earn credits to advertise. And
probably they’re …how do you say… ’slot machine marketers’

They try one thing, it doesn’t give them results, so they move
on to something else hoping for better results.

Oh “Golden Nugget Alert”

These people are desperately searching for something… so
give it to them! This is how you make traffic exchanges work
for you. Build your list of people looking for help, provide them
with what they need and you’ll be the hero.

There are so many new people joining the TE’s every day,
people who never heard of traffic exchanges, people who have
unfortunately lost their job in the bad economy or have decided
they will try to make a living in the world of Internet Marketing.

If you appeal to these people, you could likely have a subscriber
for life!

My suggestion is to use Affiliate Funnel and Traffic Hoopla to find
the best performing TE’s, and safelists for that matter. You should
really only be concerned with the top 10 to begin with.

And TRACK you ads -this is so important!!!

You need to know where your efforts should be focused.
If an exchange doesn’t give you results… drop it. It doesn’t matter
if it’s rated #1, if you don’t get the results you want… It’s not #1.

Now, I have to say that Traffic Splash has worked really, really well
for me. Maybe it will work for you, and maybe not. And NO, Paul
didn’t put me up to this, or give me kickback.  lol

But you should atleast try it for yourself, see if you get results too.
